Our welcoming Silver Surfers Club helps ease mature learners into website browsing, search engines and so much more, as well as being part of a cheerful and welcoming group.

Online Training Courses
Assertiveness Course
Being Assertive is a training course of six mornings over a six week period. It covers assertiveness and confidence-building and aims to help improve your communication skills at work, in your community, and in your personal relationships.
There is no charge for the course, which includes all course materials, a portfolio (for you to keep) the tuition, the Open Awards registration fees and refreshments.
Being Assertive aims to not only give you the skills and confidence you need, but also recognises your achievements over the six-week course with a ‘Badge of Excellence’ approved Open Awards accreditation in assertiveness equivalent to a national QCF (Qualifications and Credit Framework) Level One. Open Awards specialises in recognising and awarding achievement outside of traditional qualifications.
